aftermarket weatherstripping problems
aftermarket weatherstripping problems
i had my car repainted almost two years ago and I had the shop put on new weather stripping while they were at it. I don't know what brand it is, but it doesn't work worth a SH*T! The real leak is on the driver's side, right where the corner of the t-top meets the corner of the driver's side window and the windsheild. It just pours through that crack. Anyone else have this problem? Should I adjust the window, or the t-top, or what?
There's nothing worse than going out to your car in the morning and sitting down in a bath tub firebird seat.

Did they replace the weatherstripping on the ttops themselves also? GM changed the design of the weatherstripping at least twice, probably more, and as a result if the ttop and the car have mismatched weatherstripping you'd get leaks at the joints. Another possibility is that it wasn't installed correctly or that it was designed poorly.
