why does my 84 Z28 have only an 85 mph speedo in it ? the left side is MPH and the right side is KPH, and the needle is a double end one end is white for MPH and the other is orange for KMP, and the car is a Van Nuys car, i owulda thought this woulda got qa better speedo than just 85 one ? HO305 and 700r4 and 3.73

was the better one optional ? whats the RPo codes for the other speedos ?

Federal legislation didn't allow for speedos that read over 85mph till 1986. Late 86-up fbodies have 140 and 145mph speedos optional.

 

well that aint cool hmmm, i already trashed my 85 SW6 speedo and tach dash cuz i thought id never own a Fbody to drive, so hmm i do have a really nice 78 RS maro tach dash, could i take that speedo and use it ? i have mechanical speedo, so... i oculdnt take a 85-up one and use it could i ? VSS in them ?

Any speedo from any 82-89 Camaro will swap into any other 82-89 Camaro, because they're all cable driven.

Do a search for the details.
