I found some satin finish clear coat I'm using for my interior. I'm using Duplicolor medium gray paint which is pretty flat. I don't like the ultra glossy look - it looks fake or over Armorall'ed.
Krylon sells non yellowing satin finish clear coat that does not chemically interact with the Duplicolor. It looks great and is going to protect the paint from scuffing and moisture. YAAAAAAAAAAAAYYYYYYYYYY!

I bout SEM grey Vinyl paint for mine. Here is the
steps I am using to do mine.
*Soap and Water
*SEM Vinyl Prep Cleaner
*Bulldog Adhesion Promoter
*SEM Vinyl Paint
Now I have also thought about spraying clear
on top of all the parts after I paint them. I have
talked to several Interior guys and Paint store
guys and they say its a waste of time. They say
its not necessary for interiors because if you get
a scratch its just going to go right through the
clear because its not enough clear to make a
difference. Why are you putting clear on your parts?
I am still considering it. I am just trying to figure
out it its worth it....

I got it at Kmart. I looked at Walmart but couldnt find it.
I figure as long as I'm going to the trouble of taking out everything and painting it, I'm going to do all I can to do it right the first time. The clear coat isnt by any means a cure all for scuffs and scratches, BUT there is a barrier there to prevent scratches made from things that would otherwise make direct contact with the paint. You know what they say about prevention.... "An ounce of prevention is worth a pound of cure." A clear coat will protect the paint from most liquids too. They guys at the paint store won't be re-doing your interior, so don't listen to them. BTW, clear coat on the exterior isnt going to keep all scratches away from your paint job either. It prevents them though and that's why it's a good thing other than making it shine.
