Security Metal Mount Pads
Security Metal Mount Pads
Does anybody know where I can get a set
of these? I have a security cover I am putting
in a Camaro that was not originally equipped
with. I need these to properly mount the
cover...
THANKS!

Try Hawks, thirdgen resource, or thirdgen parts.com. Otherwise, check a junk yard. I was gonna do that too, but I got tired of looking for those, so I just stretched a piece of vinyl across the two hatch shocks. Works perfectly, and it matches my interior even better than a cover. The only problem with it is that I cant roll it up, but I have subs anyway, so I dont really care.

Yep. I got them from a donor car at a Pick-a-Part. Then I epoxied and Pop-Rivited them in place on my car. The inside of the plastic trim has the outline that needs to be cut out. Then carefully line up the trim to find the location for the reinforcements. Good luck, Lon.
