Z28 hood on a berlinetta
Anyone put a 82 z hood on a berl? Was wondering if there were any subtle differences in shape / angles of the leading edge of the bonnet in relation to the berl nosecone.
Also, anyone cut out the fake induction inserts on a 82 hood for improved cold air flow?
Thanks.

The Z hood should fit right on there with no modifications. You may need to adjust it after installing it in order for the hood to have the same "gap" all the way around,....... or maybe adjust the hood lock Up or down so the hood closes *just right*. I have place a Z28 hood onto several of my past berlinettas without a problem of any kind.
P.S. I would not recommend cutting the little cowls out as it will lead to water on (or in) the engine bay unless you come up with some type of modification to deal with the rain.

Thanks John, that is reassuring. I would like to try to utilise the fake scoops if I can to try to reduce the underhood temp and act akin to cold air induction. Something like a semi circular ring that drops down around the air cleaner etc
