So I'm looking to get new t-tops for my 1991 camaro. My tops have a larger bolt with the plastic around them. At what year did the switch from the small bolt to the large bolt with the plastic around them. If this helps I tried a set from a 1988 and they had the small bolt and wont fit.

I'm guessing my car woud fit 90-92 tops. Anybody know for sure.

 

If I am not mistaken 89 was the change.

1982-84 latch
1985-89 small pin (3/8" pin)
1990-92 large pin (pin wrapped in plastic)

 

So can the bolts (or pins) be replaced if i get some t-tops that wern't made for my year, Has any one done this. Like buying glass tops from an 89 and taking off my lexan and replacing it with glass.
