4th gen cluster question

I saw a 96 camaroZ28 gauge cluster for sale on, is there any way that i can make it work for now? I am going to swap in a Ls1 later and i think that is what that car used so it will work later, but is there any way i could make it work, with liek wireing and other stuff. Maby even something i could buy? thanks, i really want this and it looks hot.

Let me help you out. First off, 93-97 camaros came with LT1 version of the 350. 98-02 came with the LS1, so it would be easier to make the cluster work with the LS1 if it was out of a 98-02. Only real diffrence between those years anyway was the digital odometer change. Now, as for you JUST changing over your cluster, youd be better off buying buying a whole dash out of a 1993-2002. That way, the gauges would follow the dash lines. The cluster can work in our instrument panel bezel, but, but it looks stupid. You can see the screws that hold it in, the screws for the cluster itself, all the plastic from behind, doesnt sit right, alittle wider. If you could fabercate a panel to cover up the gaps and smooth out the under-laps, then it would look decent, but the time and mind that goes into it is best filtered into a 4th gen dash/cluster/console/door panel swap. Just my opinion though.
Hope this helps.
