i got some gfx, now how do i put them on???
ok I got a set of rocker panels for my SC, I know I hve to make templates to drill the holes in the right places, but what about the holes on the top of the rocker panels? Do I have to weld something to the car to hold the top part!? or can I just throw them on with the existing screws?
please let me know so I can throw them on by tomorrow.
thanks

i had asked this question last summer when i got the gfx for my former camaro lt. they told me that i have to have that metal rail welded on or else the gfz will sag. i sold the car along with the gfx to my brother, so i'll still find out sooner or later
Yes you need to weld the rocker gfx brackets to the rocker panels. I riveted mine on when I added my gfx back in '89, and that was a huge mistake. Then I screwed them into the rocker panels, worse mistake. I finally had them welded on less than a year later in '90. Been just fine ever since.
