my ls1 brake banjo bolt hitting the A-arm fix
my ls1 brake banjo bolt hitting the A-arm fix
so I finally got around to looking into the issue of the banjo bolt hitting the A arm before the steering stop hits the spindle. I read a few fixes on here of guys building new adj stops but as I was looking at mine, I had the idea of swapping the left and right sides. that puts the banjo bolt higher up so it now clears the A arm. only down side is the bleeder is now upside down. but what I did was, since the hose is long enough. I hung the caliper on the front of the rotor, bleed them both then bolted them back on.
seems to have worked fine and now my factory stops hit the spot on the spindle as they should. I didn't take any pics, I thought about it but had brake fluid on my hands from the bleeding and its not hard at all. so I didn't think anyone would need pics. the stock 3rd gen hose seems to fit better now. mine was kinda twisted a bit before.

Kinda different but it should be OK. Let's hope you never get a small air leak in the lines or fitting, that would be an issue.

how would it act differently if I had a leak? or are you thinking that them being upside down may make them more likely to leak?
wouldn't be the same? just once the leak was found and fixed, then I'd have to unbolt calipers and flip them to the other side again to rebleed them.

I just didn't finish my thought..if you had a leak air would rise to the top of the caliper where the bleeder screws arent. You'd just bleed like you did the first time.
