92 firebird rear brakes
I'm new and this has probably been asked a million times, but I just didn't find it with the search.
Brakes are a problem. Non- LE system, disc in front, and drum in rear. What to do? I jacked the car up in the rear and let the engine idle in gear, apply the brake pedal and barley stopped the rear wheels. Front disc warp easy and heat check. I'm not looking to do constant road racing, but I'd like to get more than 15K out of a front brake job. I bled the system 3 times, and to make sure I took it to the shop and had them bleed it. (Just incase I lost my touch) Getting close to new car stopping distance would be great too. Help? Do I need to dump the drums? Is there a 4th Gen bolt on? Will ABS be worth the cost, is this possible? I looked at after market sites, they didn't show bolt on disc up-grade conversion kits for my car.

i would say adjust the rearend, check this thread out https://www.thirdgen.org/techbb2/sho...readid=291818, and as far as the warped rotors? well how good are you stopping, hell i was driving around for a year with the rotors you saw on that thread, i had no problem driving it like that, but it was pretty unsafe, get new rotors, shoes, do a complete brake job.
