Drum to LS1 rear disc

I've done a search and haven't found what I'm looking for, I found a LS1 rear disc brake set-up for a good price and was wanting to know if it's worth the trouble and how hard is it to convert from drum to disc? I have an 87 camaro which is getting a Wilwood front brake upgrade but I need disc's on the rear, would the LS1's do the job? I heard that the calipers spread but isn't that only the front one's? Thanks,

Mike

Did you know there was a Tech article about this?

That link did not work, try this
LS1 rear brake upgrade

The swap is real easy and worth it in my opinion.
