Rear Brakes - LS1 vs 1LE

I have already performed a search and found a wealth of information on front brake swaps.

Here is my questions.

I have 1LE Rear Brakes on my 1987 GTA. I swapped them on about a year ago. I recently picked up a 1991 Formula that is said to have LS1 Rear Brakes on it.

I have looked at both setup and they look 100% identical to me.

Is there something I am not seeing here? Is something different?

Any information on this topic would be greatly appreciated.

If they are identical they are probably PBR's, which are a quality rear brake setup.

They are both PBR Brakes.

I just want to know if they are truly identical or not.

the "LT1" rear brakes are identical to the late 3rdgen PBR brakes...

the "LS1" rear brakes are totally diffrent. they are larger, look diffrent, and require massive grinding to fit drag wheels on...

personally, i like the "LT1" brakes better.... but im a drag racer, and i dont like grinding my calipers to fit my rims.

So if it is indeed an LS1 rear brake, it should look totally different?

Anyone got pics of what an LS1 rear brake should look like?
