Why are my rear rotors bigger then the front
I have an 89 GTA and I noticed my rear rotors are bigger then my fronts. I know this is not normal and I was wondering if anyone else has run in to something similar.
Starting in 1989 the 9-bolt rear came stock with 11.655 dia rotors and aluminum calpiers and the fronts remained the same 10.5 dia with iron calpiers as earlier years. later model years carried over with the same set up. Just the way GM Engineering works..

I appreciate the help guys. I have been told that it was normal but then I was told my had to have beeen wrecked and someone put the wrong brakes and possibly steering components back on to keep it cheap. I have never noticed this before on any other cars but it is always different when it is your own. Thanks again.
