4th Gen Brakes...
Ok heres background, my neighbor has a junk 4th gen after an accident and is willing to sell me front and rear brakes, brackets and cables for $300. Pretty much everything. All is intact and undamaged. Was in a construction accident, material fell on the car.
What is needed to convert them to my project Trans Am? It's an 87 Trans Am WS6, has all around disc brakes.
Is it just a bolt on mod sort of, or is there serious modification needed?
The parts car is a 2000 Trans Am WS6

thats a heck of a deal, go for it
the rear will bolt right on, just have to figure out the ebrake cables (not sure what people are doing for that)
the front are a little more involved, go look on the FAQ board for a VERY long thread about the ls1 setup, but basically, cut the spindle, drill and tap a couple holes, then you need some brackets and hubs which id recommend going through ebmiller88, you will see his posts in that thread

If your rear is a 10bolt, the rear LS1 brakes should bolt on fine and if you search for my LS1 e-brake cable post, you will see what cables I am using.
If you have a 9bolt, I am not sure what needs to be done to get them to work.
