LT1 caprice brakes
Hey guy's I am wanting to upgrade my rear drums on my 92 T/A vert to discs, I have recently found 2 1996 LT1 caprice's in the local pick n pull both equipped with rear discs. will the brackets, rotors, calipers, and master cylinder/proportion valve from these cars work on my T/A? attatched is a pic of the calipers.

How thick are the rotors that they use? What's the bolt spacing on the caliper carriers? Flip the calipers over and please take another shot.

Seems like a pretty beefy caliper and it's made by PBR. How is the parking brake done? Does it use a drum inside the hat of the rotor like LS1 brakes? Here is a pic of a cardone reman caliper.

The rear calipers are great because they are made for non stop abuse from taxi cab drivers and cops on a very heavy car. The problem is the caprice has a 5x5 bolt pattern which means you will have to re-drill the stock rotors or find another rotor that will work.
Can you take some pictures of the caliper carrier (abutment bracket) and inside of rotor? Also getting some measurements like Ed said would be great. Important things like distance from mounting holes on the caliper carrier, caliper piston size, rotor thickness, and rotor size, rotor offset.

Here is another pic of the caprice stuff the rotor is about 3/4" thick
and the ebrake is the drum in disc style. the dimension between the caliper mount bolts is 3" and the dimension between the 4 axle mount bracket bolts is 2.5"

I'm sure they could be made to work, rotor thickness is about right. Other than that, nothing a little wrenching couldn't fix.

Looks the same as an LS1 setup.
For sure you wouild have to redrill the rotors to 4 3/4" bolt circle.
