need a little info on a custom setup
ok i have my little racing s10 im building. im putting the rear together and am wanting disc. im planing on using the 89-92 rear brackets since i can get them from dealer easily and dirt cheap. but im not wanting e-brake. does anyone know if the ls1 calipers will bolt in place of the lt1/late 1LE pbr calipers?
my buddy at gm could only tell me that they were diffrent. so i figured i would post on here. im guessing they should work pretty easily but im thinking that no one may know because no one normally wants to remove the ebrake on their cars. so any info would be appreciated.
i've read info posted by JamesC and a few others on here so thanks to them already.

Nope, LS1 rotors won't just bolt up to an LT1 rear. You can run LS1 rear brakes without the internal parking drum though. I've been doing it for months. Once I get the proper cables, I'll re-install them. I guess that needs to be done before I swap the T-56 in

no, im wanting to use just the calipers and brackets. using the older rotor. this is on the s10 rearend. not a camaro. im eliminating the ebrake all together. this is race only, no street. so all nonesential is GONE. totally gutted and nothing but body skin sheetmetal. im just concered if the ls1 calipers will go onto the older brackets.
