1 piston Vs 2 or more Piston calipers

Engine: 2.8 MFI
Transmission: v6 700R4 wish it was a 5spd Stick
Axle/Gears: Stock non posi 3.42s
1 piston Vs 2 or more Piston calipers

how can 2 small pistons be more efficient than the 1 huge one in the stock calipers?

It comes down to total piston surface area, all things being equal.
