C4 nonHD mod problems
I'm in the middle of upgrading my '85 Z's brakes to C4 nonHD and I've hit a problem or two. The first thing I noticed was the the holes in the bracket are about 1/16" to close compared to the carrier. I planned on elongating one of the holes with a mill to fit.
When I test fit it up this weekend I noticed the rotor was not centered in the carrier, but needed a thick washer to get it right. To figure out if its a problem with my carrier or my rotor/hub, I measured 1" from the face of the bracket to the rotor and need someone to confirm this for me.

You will be fine elongating a hole, no biggie but just do one; Using a spacer washer is also OK, this is probably due to differences in spindle casting tolerances, I see it all the time.

Non HDs are 12" x .81" rotors, HDs are 13" x 1.1" rotors and the calipers are specific for the rotors.

Thanks Ed, just milled the bracket to fit last week and with a set of washers these things are lining up great. I can't wait to install these along with the rest of the new frontend. Woohoo!
Thanks for the help.
