Parts list for C4 or LS1 front swap

I've gone through just about every thread and can't find enough answers. What parts are required and compatable for a 12" C4 or LS1 front brake swap. Reading about Ed's and others swaps makes it look easy but I'm still unsure as to exactly what parts are required.

For a C4 swap, this is what I know so far.

Modified spindles and hubs as per other threads
3/8" thick adaptor brackets as per the available PDF file
C4 front calipers and abutments with all required mounting hardware
C4 rear rotors for proper spacing

Will factory brakes hoses still work and why is a special banjo bolt required for the C4 calipers?
Can LS1 calipers be used or is the caliper too wide for the thinner C4 rotor?

As for an LS1 swap, I'm assuming all of the above except for needing LS1 rotors, calipers and abutments.

Since this is a swap to improve braking over the factory 10.5" brakes and to keep the weight increase to a minimum, would the C4 swap be better than the LS1 swap that uses thicker rotors since they're both 12" brakes?

yes factory hoses work but its a very tight fit.

the c4 caliper is a slideing caliper that holds the pads
there is a caliper holder that one side uses the banjo bolt to a. let the caliper move to center itself on the rotor. and b. to lock down the caliper so it cant fall out
my setup is a reg C4 brake calipers and carriers 12" but my adaptor is 1/4
my rotors are for rear from 91 corvette had front rotors at 1st but had some major problems

Crossborder shipping for heavy brake parts that I can pick up locally isn't a good option. If I can pick up most of the hard parts here, it's just a matter of getting the mount bracket made and make sure I get all the correct parts.

So C4 calipers and abutments with rear C4 rotors will work the best with a 3/8" mount bracket. Factory hoses "should" work. I don't do any sharp turns but my suspension does hang on a launch

So LS1 calipers won't work in place of the C4 calipers?

Re: Parts list for C4 or LS1 front swap

Did you ever get around to installing this Stephen? I'm looking at upgrading my front brakes, with my 15" wheels C4 12" rotors look like the way to go (rear rotors for proper spacing apparently).

What could you buy locally at the nearest crappy tire Stephen? I'm wondering what can be purchased easily locally, and what is custom and I need to modify, or purchase online?
