94 LT1 Disc Brakes On Rear of 84 TA

Hello,
I just have a quick question about the rear rubber hoses. I do not want to rip the brake lines apart yet as I need it , but I need to order some parts.I presently have an 84 trans am. I presently have drum brakes. I picked up a set of 94 LT1 rear disc brakes with rubber lines. Will the brake hardlines on my 84 bolt right up to the disc rubber lines on the 94 LT1 set up or are the ends different. Also the rubber line with the block on the rear will the 94 LT1 rubber line bolt up to my front main line on the chassis of the 84 car going to the master cylinder or are them ends different also. Thanks for any info Roger

Well I guess I have been fortunate enough to not have to work on any of the brake lines of my newer cars. Does the brake line flare on a metric fitting look any different then a sae brake line. If I can reuse my main line on my 84 from the master back to the rear would be nice , but I have to run new hard lines on the rear because of 4th gen swap. I have not recieved my Earl stainless lines yet for rear to see them and would like to run hard lines and have everything ready . Someone must have done this swap and help me out . Thanks

Do you know you have standard line fittings? The changover to metric happened sometime in '83. You may have an issue with the center line to the chassis line but I doubt it. If you do, I have the correct line on hand and can get it right out but it should be a direct swap.

Hi Ed,
Do you still have that fitting for the main hard line? I am trying to plumb in the lines for the C4HD brakes and haven't been able to separate the original hard line to rubber rear center line. If I mess that up tonight, I may have to get back with you to get another part...
Best regards,
Jim
