rotor thickness

Engine: 305 tbi
Transmission: 700r4
rotor thickness

ok i have a 91 camaro rs and my brakes are grinding.... instead of buying whole new hub rotor combo im tryin to save some money i am a tool and die maker and i can machine the rotors myself but im quite curious to find the minimun thickness that the rotor has to be.... can anyone help me??????

Mine are laying in my spare bedroom, I could measure mine up for ya.

Ok got em measured, ah the joys of the internet.

Anyways, if anything you can use it as a guide. They are exact as I could see them but by no means are they 100% accurate. I'm holding my rotor on my lap and measuring it.

And they are the exact replacement for my rear disk on my 88 IROC.


Andddd as for minimum thickness, it should be stamped on the inside of the rotor... Mine says, " MIN THK 24 3MM "

Just buy new ones, their only like $30 at any parts store. Of course you need new pads, bearings (actually install the races), seals and your done. Grand total - $100.00. Piece of mind - Priceless!
