Are There any conversions or kits that use slide on rotors?

I've been thinking about upgrading for a while and was just wondering? I've seen a few threads on LS1 conversions usings the stock hub rotors and milling the rotor part down to make just a hub? is that true? im lost

yup thats pretty much it, plus longer studs, modifying the spindle and using caliper relocation brackets.

I HIGHLY recommend using someone like bigbrakeupgrade.com . You can get the hubs, modified spindles, brackets, etc from them. Quality parts. You can get them in parts or as an assembled unit. But when you install them, all you have to do is buy some LS1 rotors and slip them on. Piece of cake. And the price isnt that bad.

Also, edmiller on this site also sells components and kits. I havent dealt with him, but Ive heard good things.

But it just saves time and makes things easier. The hubs are the right size, and have new studs. Its all ready to go. Bolt on and enjoy better stopping!

Justin

P.S... Ide tell you to search some, but search is kinda screwy. Just page through the brake board though and you should find some good threads on doing the swap. Here is one.. its a long one, but VERY good information in it. Copy and paste it into your browser...links arent working either...
