going to try to convert to hydraboost

I have not found anyone that has done this other then buying the $700 kit from www.hydratechbraking.com. I just ordered a 99 astro van unit and going to see if I can make it work. Brand new the unit is $130 and I think I can make a bracket and some lines for less then $630. Anyone attemp this yet?

I'm guessing you didn't bother to read the big long thread about 10 posts below yours about the EXACT same thing, obscurely titled "Hydraboost" ... maybe? Just a guess though....

yes I read it but that guy bought the kit for $700 not a DIY. I want to make my own for under $200.

Re: going to try to convert to hydraboost

Did you read the part about the Seville and diesel and Astro van boosters, and the brackets people were making, and the pictures of different things like Astro van and other boosters? See the pics of the kit installed, to where you can figure out how to do what you're asking? Read the write-up about mounting the unit you have upside down and all that? It's all right there. Word for word what you're asking.

I hate to be a twit; but the whole concept of a discussion board works A WHOLE LOT BETTER if you READ what other people have already written about stuff, rather than asking the same repetitive question all over again and expecting them to write the same stuff again and post the same pics again, special, just for you.

The pictures are from the $700 kit, not a do it yourself job, if you read the post. Yes, a few are trying to do it,but know one has completed it yet. My post is going to show how I plan on doing it myself for under $200. Do you know what DIY means? I have built a very nice twin turbo setup for my car. I just got finished mini tubbing my iroc so I can fit my 18x13 rims. I rarely post on this board because there are so many thread ***** hanging around.

Re: going to try to convert to hydraboost

Yes I'm well aware of the concept of DIY.

There are not only the pics of Hydratech's part (which you could even COPY the design, and adjust to suit your taste); there's pics of about a half-dozen other things in there.

Yeah those thread ***** suck... all they ever do is to help people with repetitive questions find stuff that's already been written, instead of placing further demands on the helpful experienced people to spoon-feed the ones who won't read and reseach. I hate that too.

But that's OK; I don't notice all those people rushing over here to answer the same questions and post the same pictures and describe the deatils of what they've already done, so maybe the thread ***** won't have to come and run them off.
