98-02 Rear brakes on my 91 RS?

98-02 Rear brakes on my 91 RS?

Ok, got me a full set-up off a 2002 Camaro, looking to swap it over onto my 91 RS..... anything I should do/know before I dive in?

remove the backing plates and swap. You'll need a lot bigger rims than 15"ers too.

Your going to have to cut the top off your drum brake axel flange too. And drill some holes.

You may want to check and see if the following will be able to stop the car w/all four discs,especially the bigger ones that are being put on. to do so make sure your brake booster is the right size,that your perportioning valve is enough, and that your brake fluid reservoir will handle the correct amount of fluid required of the upgrade to stop the car.

You'll need to weld a bracket to the floor to hook the e-brake cables to like a 4th gen.

You dont need to weld the bracket to the car. You can have a custom cable made to fit. Check out the thread Hey Ed, in there youll see how to get the proper cable. Also 91/2 cars came with the proper prop valve. There was no differnce between disc and drum for those years, they were all disc valves. If it was me I would udgrade the fronts first, then the rears.
