ls1 brake swap
im curious on how i can do this. i have a PBR disc rear right now but the calipers and mounting pins are both frozen. so my question is if i can get an ls1 caliper with mounting bracket then just bolt up 98+ rotors and pads to it on my current setup will it work right? i figured since theres trouble fitting the ebrake ill just leave it out.

Might be easier/cheaper to rebuild the PBR's, which are still a very good braking system, IMO.

well my pbr's are done for right now. bleeders are frozen even after a can of pbblaster, piston is frozen, pins on the mounting bracket are frozen solid worst ive ever seen i cant even move them with all my force. but my question was if i can use my existing brackets with the ls1 brake pad mounting bracket and caliper?

No you can't, totally different design. I can help you fix your frozen ones or help you set up the LS1 rear system, PM me if you're interested. I'm still waiting on my LS1 conversion cables to arrive.

Re: ls1 brake swap
thanks for the offer but im gonna just buy new ones, i could try and fix mine but the ebrake and such is all rusty and new ones would look a lot better and perform better plus i can get them for a good price.
