"Performance package"???

Hi all...

I work at a wholesale undercar parts wherehouse(braking system/shocks/steering systems), and I have run into this a few times...

What makes up the "performance package" option?(pertaining to braking systems)

I had a guy with a (i think-this was awhile ago) 91 IROCZ and he wanted front slotted rotors-I asked if he had this "performance package" (different rotors/pads) he didnt know for sure, but we figured since its an IROCZ, it should! right?
WRONG!

SO how can I tell my customers(over the phone!) the easiest was to tell if it has the "performance package" or not?
Mind you I deal with the mechanics working on customers cars at shops, not 3rd Gen guys(god my life would be sooo much easier!)...

Re: "Performance package"???

Performance package simply means the 1LE package, dual piston aluminum calipers/12" rotors up front and single piston aluminum calipers/11.6" rotors out back. The front 1LEs are only on '88-92 1LE cars but ALL rear discs from '89-up have the aluminum "1LE" calipers on the rear discs and need the "performance package" parts.
