Dan,
Good to hear from you again. I used your brake photos years ago. Thanks!
On another note what road course is that you are on? I have a very old photo of a 82-84 camaro in about the same spot on track.

That's Memphis Motorsports Park, north of Memphis. The National Fbody Motorsports Event goes there each year. This year I think the third-gens nearly tied the fourth-gens in terms of participation. The fastest time around the track, at 77 seconds, was Mark Frouhar's silver '86 Trans Am. Memphis Motorsports Park says that a 75 second lap of the course is considered a super-fast lap for a dedicated road race car, so a 77 second lap is cooking for a street car. I was probably running closer to 89 second lap with my street tires. I eventually lost my brakes and tires on the lap following that picture. Boiled the fluid and greased the tires at the same time, going into the "M&M's" where that picture was taken. It followed a 140+ MPH blast on the straightaway, on the fifth lap, and the brakes and tires gave up. I hit the red&white curb but didn't grass the tires. That was my last lap for the day as the fluid turned black. Hence, I am servicing my brakes at the moment, and managed to snap this dandy of a picture!

The full-size photo, when printed on a laser printer, is properly scaled to 330 dpi in order to make the photo a 1:1 scale model of the bracket. Folks can now engineer their own brackets if they wish....

By the way, if memory serves me correctly, that is Kevin Crain's car in that picture of yours:

Very cool info on the event and course.......I had that pic for a background quite a few years ago.
How long has Kevin had the LS1?
I also remember paying out the butt for those brackets, not to mention the caliper "cage's"
