Line Locks

Hello,
Im just curious, What EXACTLY do I need to make this work on my 86? What would I have to do?

http://store.summitracing.com/egnsea...115+4294840140

I remember hearing once that something with the lines changed at the end of 86, so you need to do something to make it work?

THANKS!
-Andew

Re: Line locks on pre 87 camaro

If you read my first post, it says:
"Somthing with the lines changed after 86"

So I need some kind of converter parts. I remember seeing a post about it about a month ago, but I searched and search and could not find it.

I installed the same kit on my 86 T/A. All the lines and threaded fittings worked great. Very simple bolt on. I didn't need any extra parts.

What year did these cars go to metric bubble flare connections? If that is what your car has (I would think it does), you'll need to cut and flare your lines, using a metric bubble flare kit, and get a metric (4mm or whatever size it is?) -> 1/8"NPT male, and screw that into the line lock, then the same thing on the other side of the line lock.
