problem removing front brake hose
so im doing a front ls1 swap, everything is fine yet i can't remove my old brake lines, i've practicaly have stripped them and are now frustrated. my ls1 calibers came with the attached brake line so i rather use that then my old stockers. are there any tips to removing them, mines seem to be rusted at the joints, i figured maybe replacing the entire line from caliber to proportioning valve, problem is do i get 91 brake lines, or 02 4th gen line which is what caliber im using. also where can i get the hard line which goes to the proportion valve. any help is apreciated thanks

Re: problem removing front brake hose
Soak the fitting liberally with penetrating oil (Kroil, WD 40, LIquid Wrench, etc) and give it some time to soak in. You can also use heat but if they're really frozen, consider getting new lines to replace the old ones.
You would need 1991 lines for your year car. You can get most lines from Fine Lines, inc. and other sources online.

Re: problem removing front brake hose
thanks i did soak the line in wd40 left it overnight and was able to use vice grips to loosen them, only my left gave me a problem, right was simple enough. i did replace the brake lines with 91 brakes lines 14.99 a piece so why not. i was gonna go with earls but i needed the car right away so i might do that in the future, besides i doubt i will need braided lines for my purpose.
