S-BLAZER REAR DISC ?

S-BLAZER REAR DISC ?

Will rear disc setup from s-10 blazer fit 85 rear I have complete rear from blazer didnt cost me anything just wondering if anyone else has done this swap? the backing plate flanges appear to be the same but I havent gotten under the car to measure anything yet ! car is currently equipped with drums

I would think so, since the s-trucks got the 10 bolt rear end also. However, an 85 model will probably have the same iron calipers which came on our cars from 82 to 88. If so, it might not even be worth the trouble. I have them on my car, and they don't really work all that well.

are you talkin the rear end or just the brakes? also will zr2 brakes/rear end work? i know my zr2 has a different rear end then normal dimes do. not planning on swapping the rear end in my car and truck, just outta curiosity if i end up with some spare parts

Yeah, I meant the brakes, not the whole rear. Although it's pretty much the same rear and, it's set up for leaf springs, which means no torque arm mount, no coil spring perches, no panhard rod mount, and the track width is probably different. I'd bet though that the brakes can be used.

They should fit the axle but I don't know about spacing.
