Front discs
Front discs
Are the front disc brakes from a 99 t/a better than the front discs on a 88 Firebird? If so, what are the major differences, and can you easily upgrade the 88 to 99 hardware?

Re: Front discs
yes they are better, no they will not bolt on. It is a common swap though, requires modified spindles, brackets, hubs ect. A search will turn up the info, or edmiller sells the kits, this is his site

Re: Front discs
Your brakes are 10.5" rotors and single piston calipers, while the '99 has 12" rotors and dual piston calipers. Other difference being the '99 rotors are slip ons rather than hub and rotor assemblies. Made a huge difference with my car, I'd suggest the swap to any and all!!
