What have they done?

Hello to all. Newbee here, I have been around and have known of this forum for quite some time and I thought it was time to register and say Hi.
I just purchased a 1989 IROC 350 TPI Car and am noticing the previous owner has messed with it and not in a good way.
The rear e-brakes are missing pieces (levers and springs) and the rear brake line (rubber hose on drivers side) is not correct. I am not sure how it came stock but it does not look right to me. It is way to long and no mounting hole for brkt.
Also think he swapped the rear end ( not posi any more ) and I cant find Axle ID #S.
Any help would be appreciated in helping me to identify what I have and what is wrong with the

1. Axle ID
2. Ebrake parts
3. Hose configuation.

Welcome to TGO.

If you have a 10-bolt some of your questions can be answered in the following FAQ:

Re: What have they done?

OK. I think I just pinpointed what is wrong.
The previous owner has done a swap. He put a drum brk rear into it and tried to do a disc swap. Well in his conversion he drilled the 4 mounting holes in the axle flange wrong so that the calipers are too high (more like 2:30posision ) Thus explaning why my brk hose runs into the panhard flange as well as the caliper is about a 64th of an inch from this flange as well. Looks like I may have 2 choices, Either find another housing or do you think I could use the ( drum to disc ) conversion brkts and just not use the holes he drilled in the flange? He did not cut the top drum flange area off of the axle.
Thanks in advance.

I'm not too well versed on the conversion bracket, but I'd think it would work without difficulty. Perhaps a phone call or PM to Ed Miller (ebmiller), who sells the bracket, would give you some peace of mind.

I have a question about this big nasty flange? Did this flange only come on rear axle housings using drum brks from the factory? Name: PIC00008.jpg
