what do you guys recommend for performance brakes, pads and rotors?

Nothing wrong with any of the aftermarket performance brake systems. What kind of budget do you have? What kind of performance are you looking for?

Good street brakes are different from drag brakes which are different than high performance road race/autocross type brakes. You can easily purchase a brake system that far exceeds what you need on the car.

i had powerstop drilled/slotted rotors on my old 89 kitt. would do good for the price

For the fronts look at the C4 standard duty set up. 12" rotors with dual piston PBR's. There is a huge thread on them here someplace. Try this board and the FAQ board for it.

I went the c5 way. Really not too bad of a job. The first wheel is the learning experience, from there it is esay.
