Car/Steering shudders even with new rotors

Hi all. When I got my car it had the brake shudders like when a rotor is warped. The guy I bought it from said he'd never changed them, so this past weekend I replaced the rotors and the bearings (since I was in there anyways), the pads were recently replaced and they looked fine, no strange wear patterns. Well it still feels like warped rotors are in there. The steering wheel shakes and as you come almost to a stop you can feel where there is points of high contact and then points of little contact in the brakes (like I'm pumping the pedal). Any ideas of what's up?

Shake & Brake

Remove your front wheels - it will give you a better feel.

Grab the rotor by hand at the studs and slowly turn.

If the rotors are warped you will feel it.

It will be subtle, less than a newbie would expect.

New or resurfaced rotors should feel perfect.

Happy Racing!

If People Drove Any Slower They’d Be Going Backwards

When you see fog or “running” lights on in good weather beware. Low performance driver ahead.

How bout those nitwits too scared to drive without headlights in the daytime and the nitwits that need headlights for a little rain

Re: Shake & Brake

I'll give that a shot sometime, today the power steering pump foamed out so that will be taking priority now

Re: Shake & Brake

jack up front end , take wheels off, bend a wire off of spnidle down to rotor so it just barely touches rotor then spin it slowly . checking for high and low spots
