Lt1 rear end and e-brake

Lt1 rear end and e-brake

Using parts from my 95 Trans Am to build on my 85 TA, and I would like to use my 4th gen rear end along with the disc brakes. The e-brake hasnt worked though for a while since I took the rear calipers off to clean things up. Not sure if maybe I got things backwards or what but springs are on. I looked at another car as reference and is there a wrong way to get things placed on there? You can apply the hand brake in the car, but it isnt applying the rear parking brake. With me retaining my 5 speed I need the parking brake when parking in my driveway. Also going to replace both calipers they just dont seem to have the appling force for braking anymore. Also you do need to buy a proportioning vlave if your going from drums to discs if I remember right. Going with this rear end so I can use the Grand sport rims with some 315/40/17s. I wanna turn and burn through the twisties too.
