83 T/A - front/rear brake pads the same?

This might be a dumb question, but on my '83 T/A with front/rear rotors, are the pads the same between the front and rear brakes? Cuz when I look on any parts store website, they list the same part number for the front/rear pads, but when I go on Summit Racing, they list different brands and parts for front/rear pads. This confuses me...any help would be greatly appreciated. Thanks!

I know on my IROC, they are NOT the same pads.

Yes, I believe on the earlier rear disc cars they were the same part number. Look up an 87 and its a different smaller pad.

Well I was looking in my Brooklands Road Test book on 82-88 High Performance Firebirds, and every year that was covered, the front and rear rotors were the same size (10.5"), so I think it's very possible that they are the same pads.
