mixing rotors and pads

What do you think about daily driver rotors with performance pads?

I have no knowledge of brakes yet

It'll help, buy some Hawks, they are pretty good, worked well on my car, before I got my current setup...

Well if its a daily driver I can't see why you would need performance pads. That being said, I agree with Hawks pads or find a set of OEM pads. For a street car just get a basic blank rotor (just not Autozones Valucraft).

The Hawks pads work good as do SSBC's, they both make direct replacements. As for why you would need them for a daily driver, our brakes are of an old design and can use all of the help they can get. These pads will definitely stop the car sooner, are less prone to heat fade, and will last longer. To me, that equals safety, that is why....

Re: mixing rotors and pads

The pads are a good, economical way to go, used for years, until I could afford my current setup... If you need any help, just PM me...

Re: mixing rotors and pads

alright thanks.

Another question actually. Ive seen people suggest changing the bearings and tie rods while changing front brakes.
Im pretty sure they've never been replaced
