98+ brakes on a 95 rear?
I recently got a nice rear end (LG Motorports stud girdle on it, haven't looked inside to see if the posi is upgraded or not) out of a 95 Firehawk. But the brakes are basically the same as the 91/92brakes, just on a wider axle, right?
Would would it take to put LS1 brakes on the 95 rear end? Just the mounting brackets are different? (besides the obvious bigger rotor) Calipers any different?
Or should I just sell it & pick up a 98+ rear end?

Re: 98+ brakes on a 95 rear?
Well....I did find a mounting plate that would put the '95 Firehawk/LT1 brakes onto the '87 9-bolt I have, so I could upgrade the 9-bolt brakes with the 95 brakes, but that leaves the 10 bolt empty, no brakes.

Would the 98+ brakes simply bolt on, since they are both 10-bolt axles?

Re: 98+ brakes on a 95 rear?
I was going to do similar with the 93 Trans Am disc rear I have on my 89 Camaro. I had a set of backing plates and rotors from a 93-97 rear, the backing plates bolt right up to it. The rotors were too far gone to turn, and I found a nice deal on LS1 brakes (98+) which I did install. Those bolt right up to the 10 bolt just fine.
