Directional Z51 rotors, do they exist?

So the Z51 package, 13.4 inch Corvette brakes, has been out a few years now. I have searched and searched but I have not been able to find anyone that makes a left and right hand side rotors. I would like to use that size rotor but I really do know want to have one facing the wrong way. Power slot is the closest I have found with the slots being directional but yet the vanes still are not.

Any ideas where I might find some??

iansane, I think I will probably fall back on those if I have to. Just have a hard time justfying that it expense on this brake set up.

Realmac4, Just curious if you dont mind saying how much did the pair of those run you? Are those the 13.4 inch and do they actually have the vanes on the passenger side facing the correct way?

85Z28NOS, Im no there all the time looking for a deal!

Thanks for the help guys!

The whole set (13.4 in front, 12 in LS car rear, dimpled/slotted), and yes the other side is made for that side, was $200.00, which I thought for a street car that see's more under car cover duty and cruise nites/shows then hard core road racing, was a good deal.

Realmac4, I talked to a guy at Rotorpros today and he said he wasnt sure that the vanes are side specific, he said they get them from another source and that he didnt think they were. So now Im curious how you got them side specific besides that slots and dimples?

When I ordered I am not sure if they said they were side specific, it sounded like they get blank rotors then send them out for machining, I would ask them to make them side specific.

Re: Directional Z51 rotors, do they exist?

@ Reakmac4, those are not Z51 rotors. What you have are C4 J55 rotors, 13" "Grand sport" or ZR1 brakes. The rotors are 13" and 1.1" wide. The C5 & C6 stuff is wider. C5 also uses 13s, C6 uses 13.4 . These rotors are indeed directional. The C4 J55 calipers and abutments do NOT fit on a 1.25 or whatever width the C5/6 rotor is. C5/6 rotors have very little offset on the hat.

This is the same setup without the holes

The link that 85Z28NOS posted shows a 13.4 Z51 rotor in the 1st link. The 2nd is a 13" C5 eradispeed rotor. I have those on my TA

Ok my bad, but either way he should still be able to get rotors with the right directional slots.
