I am looking for the technical name of the shield that sits behind the rotor on the spindle, want to look for new ones but my search keeps showing me dust shields. Also does anyone have a diagram of the front end, I have one for the rear, thanks guys

I looked under that too, the search brought up those cheap aftermarket ones to keep the dust off your rims. I can use the ones I have they are just pitted and stuff even after cleaning and painting

After checking a couple of parts manuals, I failed to find the dust shield or a part number.

How important are they? Humm, well the 1LE fronts eliminate the dust shield altogether because two of the holes are used for an adapter. Some of the so-called rear 1LE's have the shield, some don't.

I can use what I have, just thought i would go new if it were cheap enough. They must be there for a reason, just don't know the reason yet.

they have a cup in the center that helps protect the rear grease seal on the rotor/hub, thats useful. after than, i dont see the need for the rest of it.

see them all the time in parts yards in my city. would you like a set? think they go for under $8 a set. then you have. what $4 in shiupping big padded envelope.

i had mine gold Zink plated. Rust proof. matchs the Canton oil pan and other frontend parts i had plated.
