C5 carriers seem unobtanable

Anyone know of a consistent, affordable supply of these caliper cradles? Even the GM part numbers, if they're not discontinued ( yet )

Re: C5 carriers seem unobtanable

Are you talking about caliper brackets? Think they're also called abutment brackets. (?)

front # 12455799, but can't find the rear brackets. Still managed to run across a few sets on ebay. A call to a GM parts dealer should get you a part#.

I've also seen them listed as "caliper cradles". Thanks for the part number, I searched google for 90 minutes before posting here.

I could be wrong but I believe they were superseded by the c6 brackets.

Re: C5 carriers seem unobtanable

I believe twigger is correct, fully interchangable. Not sure if the casting is the same, (though I'd imagine it is), but I'd look at the C6 brackets. Maybe it's just the brackets I have, but the ones I got with my C5 brakes (used) looked pretty rough. Had to grind a few spots level before I painted them. The ends on the face of the bracket, looked particularly bad.

I do believe so, I was at the dealer asking about them and they said they were replaced with the C6 which should be identical. You could try Tobin at Kore3 brakes he could tell you for certain.
