Brake upgrade questions

My car is 4 wheel disk (j65). I have drilled & slotted rotors for the front (havent installed yet) but other than that its a completely stock brake system. My brakes are like most 3rd gen's it sounds like, they leave alot to be desired.

I know the chances of coming across an 1LE car in a junkyard is slim, but other than that, what options do I have?

IIRC, in 89(?) they switched from 10.5in rear to 12in rear rotors, correct? If so, will they fit onto my 88 rear end? Any fabrication needed?

Could I put the rear 12in rotors on the front?

Are 4th gen rotors 12in? Can they be used?

Ive read where people put 'vette calipers on fbodies but its a bit confusing, how much fabrication is need to do this?

Are there any more tips/suggestions on this? My budget is fairly low, i cant spend a whole lot on this unfortunatly. Thanks for the help

The first link in the above thread provides a front brake 1LE write-up. The thread itself details the rears. There are many options, however. Peruse the site below:

Ever consider stainless steel lines to replace the rubber hoses?

Interesting. I was thinking about my '83, but that car is SAE, not metric.

Do the S.S. lines make a big difference?

I assume you mean braided steel lines.
