1987 GTA Rear Disc Brake Question

Hey guys. Got a question. I've got a original 1987 GTA with the rear wheel disc brakes. Car sat for about 10 years without ever moving. I changed out the front calipers and pads, drained the brake system and refilled it and bled all the brakes.

Now, my rear wheels always collect brake dust fairly quickly. Not just your average slight coat, but I'm talking like actual dust, buildup if you will. Like sanding something down and you get all that dust.

Anyway, why is this? I know the rear brakes work very well but is this due to them being old brake pads, or is it grabbing them too hard?

I am not an expert but when I switched to the ceramic pads it took care of 98% of the dust.

Did it used to pile up or was it just a slight coating? I have ceramics on the front and as you said, I've yet to see dust in between washes.

It would pile up and it was a darkish brown color.
