c5 rotor with ls1 bracket / caliper

anybody done this? what conversion bracket did u use? i mocked it up today on my spare set and the ls1 bracket damn near mounts to the spindle holes. not that ill go that route but just trying to figure what bracket to make to mount this. maybe its closer to the c5 conversion mounting bracket?

that is a sweet set up. i have had the ls1 swap for 2 yrs now. stops good but i seem to warp rotors often. a friend passed me a fresh set of 2002 vette rotors and id love to fill up my rim with them. i just replaced my ls1 calipers so i wanna reuse what i can. only reason for the above question. any specs/ pdf for a bracket? i made my own last time.

Re: c5 rotor with ls1 bracket / caliper

Twin, I believe that is a C5 caliper on a C5 rotor, right?

I think the OP is looking for an LS1 caliper on C5 rotor.

yes, ls1 caliper / abutement bracket on a c5 rotor. my current 17" rims would really show off that rotor better.

Re: c5 rotor with ls1 bracket / caliper

Use a C5 bracket, dimensions/mounting of the LS1 & C5 calipers are the same.

Re: c5 rotor with ls1 bracket / caliper

Just to be clear that is both the spindle to caliper adapter bracket and the OEM C5 abutment bracket. The LS1 abutment bracket will not work with the C5 adapter bracket.

Re: c5 rotor with ls1 bracket / caliper

Yea i figured that out yesterday after i made my template. I cant see paying what im seeing c5 abutement brackets going for so i got out a vise/ c clamp and redid my template to use the ls1 abutement bracket. Its very similiar to the bracket im currently using just tweaked some. Now to cut the 3/8 " adapter bracket on monday.
