LT1 Brakes
I tried a search, couldnt find anything (probably just being stupid). Anyhoo, the junkyard got in a nice 94 Z28. Was thinking about yanking off the brakes, as I could probably get a pretty sweet deal on them (fronts only). Will they fit under the 16" honeycomb wheels? what modifications to the spindles will i have to make? Planning on just getting new pads and machining the rotors (provided they are still within specs).

Re: LT1 Brakes
Can be done but why? Not much of an upgrade at all if any. For all the cost involved why not get 98+ f body brakes? Same machining required but a swap that us members are very familiar with. The 93-97 single piston caliper/ iirc 11" rotor is almost identical to ours in brake feel/ reaction. I thought of doing what ur contemplating years ago and after alot of searching this site canned the idea and installed my 98+ brakes. Under $500 to do and braking is a large improvement. Now im onto c5 brakes. Keep searching this board. I dont mean to come off as brash , i got the exact same speech from a member yrs ago and i appreciate it every time i hit the stop pedal.
