Did all 89-92 f-bodys with front and rear disc brakes have the 1LE package? I have a 89 TTA with 1LE brakes that I'm trying to fine S/S braided brake hoses to replace my original rubber hoses. I'm getting hard pulling and an occasional caliper hang and expect the hoses are failing on the inside. Russell makes a 5 piece kit P/N 692370 that says it is for 89-92 Camaro/Firebird/Trans Am front & rear disc brakes. I talked to both Summit and Russel tech lines and neither could verify anything about the kit being for the 1LE brakes or not? Next question is if two 4-wheel disc brake options were available do they use the same flexible brake hoses? Here is the Russel kit at Summit http://www.summitracing.com/parts/ru...0/applications

1) no. 1LE "Performance package" had big aluminum brakes front and rear. the regular "non-performance package" 4 wheel disk package had iron calipers in front, and aluminum brakes in the rear (because the old delco-moraine calipers were terrible). look for hose sets that specifically say for performance package or 1LE.

 

Anyone know who sells S/S braided hoses for 1LE "Performance Pkg." brakes? I'm not finding any...

 

Call Earls or Russell Direct and ask them, They used to make them I know.
