Brake noise question
I have an 88 Firebird Formula with a BW 9 bolt differential. Right after turning the rotors and installing new pads I'm suddenly getting a noise. Its not like metal on metal, its a vibrating, humming, horrible and embarrassing noise. It is also very loud. Does anybody know what I'm talking about? Does anybody know what it is?

Because you described some of the noise as “horrible”, that is consistent with improperly lubricated wheel bearings.

Re: Brake noise question
Thank you for the input. I appreciate your interest in my question. However, the point is now moot. On December 26, 2013 some fool traveling the wrong direction entered my lane, hit me head on and completely destroyed my 88 Firebird Formula. A swift end to a 14 year relationship. I am currently looking for a replacement and starting all over again.
