Quick flare question (1/4" with 6mm tool)
Need to replace rear brake line (pinched during my ls swap)
Can't find 6mm tube anywhere around here unless I buy an entire $50 roll. So I plan to use some 1/4" and drill out the nuts.
Will my 6mm bubble flare tool work on the 1/4"?

How long is the piece you are replacing, need to be?...I'm assuming you're talking about the line that sorta conforms over the rearend?
Brake lines are doubled inverted flared.
You sure you asked the right question at the AP store?

Take the 34 and put a service bend in to shorten it....it will have the proper flares and nuts on it already.

It's the line from prop valve to the rear.
It's 6mm with a bubble flare.
They have no sizes at all for 6mm, unless I buy an entire $60 + 13% tax roll.
The 1/4" is marginally larger.

You can still buy two lengths, and use a coupling between them.

I live in petawawa Ontario. It's a military base about 2 hours from a town that might carry something I need. The guys at the napa counter here know me by now, I can't imagine what they think my car looks like after all the random parts I've ordered and say its all going in to one car.
