Parking brake

its time for inspection again and the trans am fails. It's an 86 with rw discs. Just had a new ebrake put in last year. The mechanic said on these cars if the rear calipers are going bad the e brake will continue falling out of adjustment. Is that true on these cars? Haven't looked up in the repair book for the e brake yet mostly because my lack of wanting to crawl under the damn thing lol.

Re: Parking brake

The rear discs used before 1989 are a known issue. It basically boils down to the calipers failing to self adjust. Make the adjustment and call it good.
