Hello everyone, new to this forum and new to the 3rd gen. I purchased a 91 G92 code last month for my son and I to play with. The RPO codes sheet is no where to be found. The person that owned the car before me added about every aftermarket Spohn suspension part I think you can buy including the tubular front K member. My question is about the brakes. It has large disc brakes front and rear with aluminum calipers. The rotors are shot but I am not clear on what they are. Are they stock? Are they something else?
The rear brakes appear to be the stock ones, the aluminum PBR setup. Hopefully someone that has a better idea of what the stock ones look like chimes in.
The front brakes are not stock. They appear to be LS1 brakes (1998 - 2002 Camaro). Note that the front brake hose is supposed to be retained by the clamp/clip piece on the strut.
The rears look just like my lt1 rear brakes ...maybe its a lt1 rearend swapped in.Try measuring the rotors. I dont know how big stock rotors are that year but its bigger than what i had stock on my 87 transam on the stock 9bolt rearend.
The rear calipers are from a 93-97 f-body (section on the top missing the ribs gives it away) but they function just like the 89-92 rear PBR caliper rear brakes.
